Poussez in Sweden with UTBD!

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside..!

Here it is folks, THE reason to smile this January! Get your butts to EasyJet and book a cheapy, cheap flight for Friday January 28th...We're off to Sweden to give Andreas Saag a wedgie, play a record or eighty and make paper aeroplanes out of our detox plans. Artizan Music's ever-rocking UPTOWNBOOGIEDOWN leaves London on the road to Scandanavia!!

Its all happening at a lovely little club called Locatelli in Sweden's second largest city Gothenborg.  We're reliably informed Locatelli has the same soundsystem as Fabric, does a fine line in ace nordic cocktails and is ramjammed with beautiful swedish music lovers (and they really are beautiful people :0). Whatsmore its January so its FREE, FREE, FREE ENTRY all night.

We shall be donning our best wigs and spinning 6 hours of our latest tracks alongside all the best in deep house, techno and nu-disco old and new.

Hello dear lovers!
We will be performing exclusively at Uptownboogiedown's end of year bash this New Years Eve alongside a carefully cherry-picked cast that includes Disco dons of the moment Mighty Mouse, Buzzin' Fly's ace Chris Woodward and loads of our old friends Martin Lodge (Push FM), Mr Chex (Funk Royale),  Jerry Frempong & Ian Morbey (Pret A Ecouter) and the loveable Toby Phickle. The venue is an ace and intimate pub/club space in London's Kings Cross, owned by another mate of ours Rob Star - main man behind the Mulletover and Eastern Electrics parties. Naturally the sound-system is first rate FUNCTION ONE and with a capacity of just 350, a reasonable £8 / £10 advance from Resident Advisor or £12 on the night, we heartily recommend this as a credible alternative to all that over-priced, cattle-market malarky that is so rife on NYE!

Poussez Launch Party @East Village SEP 24th..

In honour of our E.P dropping on LOTNS / Toolroom on Sept 22nd, we thought we'd enlist the help of some of our label artists for the release party Sept 24th..

From Sweden, we've a rare UK appearance from Freerange / G.A.M.M's amazing Andreas Saag, aka Swell Session. Andreas's breath-taking album and singles have seen him steal the hearts and minds of many, not least Gilles Peterson and Jimpster. He flies in on the decks and Keys combo, ahead of his remix of our 'Modern Identity'  track, dropping on Artizan in Oct/Nov. Next up, legendary Nottingham deep housers Rhythm Plate (their delicious releases on Mantis, DIY, Winding Road and Lost My Dog, long time in our boxes!), MidiDropMusic / Plastic City's brill MrCenzo, our old friend and recently married Andy Touchfingers who finally takes a break from european tours to wow us all with his amazing keys skills, then there's oodles of others too many to do justice in this space..

Being Friday and payday, we're kicking off early doors with DJs from 5pm till 3.30am... Gonna R.O.C.K!

Poussez and Milton Jackson

We proudly announce that our beloved Uptownboogiedown - the record label party for Artizan Music - reaches 4 years old Bank Holiday Saturday May 29th...We're heading back to our fave Shoreditch rave cave East Village, partnering up with Scotlands superb TronicSole Music.

Poussez split up for the night (no don't worry its not a lovers tiff), with Maxime Cescau in the basement, joining Hiro and Freerange's mighty Milton Jackson, whilst Jafar holds down the upstairs, profiling the swedish side of the Artizan label. He's joined by two special guests direct from Gothenborg, Sweden...Christoffer Falk and Mats 'Gonzo' Hultgren. Like their Norwegian neighbours these guys certainly know their deep shit. Expect plenty of the sleazy nudisco vibes in our 'Scandanavian Disco Special'! EV's ever reliable lynchpin Stuart Patterson rounds off the package in fine style!

Nuff Said! Please bring cake.
